Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries

Grey Matters - Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Support Group

A program for people who have experienced a brain or spinal cord injury and their family members and caregivers. The group meets from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm the third Thursday of every month at Memorial Health University Medical Center. For more information, call (912) 350-7274.

Southeast Georgia Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group

Survivors of traumatic brain injury and their families gather to share information, understanding, and support. The group meets the third Monday of every month at Satilla Regional Annex, 1800 Alice Street, Waycross, Georgia. For more information, email Kathie or email Carolyn. Head Injury Support Group

Survivors of head injuries, their family members, friends, and other interested individuals are welcome to attend. The group meets at 6:00 pm the second Thursday of every month at Goodwill Industries, Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia. For more information, call (912) 354-6611.

Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group

Memorial Health Bariatrics works with Bariatric Support Centers, International to provide support and ensure weight-loss success.

ICDs and Pacemakers

ICD Support Group
This quarterly meeting is for people who wear ICD devices or pacemakers. Guest speakers provide information and answer questions. The group meets in the Memorial Health Heart & Vascular Institute. For more information, call (912) 350-4284.

Parents of Multiples

Savannah Parents of Twins Club
The Twins Club is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and the opportunity to meet other parents with multiples. New members are welcome and moms are encouraged to join while they are still pregnant. For more information, call Del DeMauro, (912) 598-1839.

Support After Stroke (SAS)

This monthly educational seminar is for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Get information about the effects of stroke, tips to maximize recovery and independence, and resources for survivors and their caregivers. There is no charge to attend and no reservation needed.
